Sabeus, Inc.
Located in the Northpointe Technology Center, Sabeus, Inc. produces tools for measuring sub-surface pressure and temperature readings to optimize oilfield production levels. Sabeus has attended the ARMTech Showcase for five consecutive years and has taken advantage of numerous opportunities to network with local companies.
“The ARMTech Showcase gives us an opportunity to meet with other companies in the area that may have products or services that will assist our production needs,” said Gary Zacherl, Operations Manager for Sabeus.
Mr. Zacherl reveals that ARMTech enabled his company to successfully in find a locally based precision machine shop that eliminated the need to outsource the business to a California firm. “ARMTech 2005 gave us an opportunity to meet APEX Design (located in Atlasburg, PA). We have since formed a great relationship with them and they are now our primary supplier for machined parts.”

The Keystone Enterprise Manufacturing Alliance (KEMA)
The Keystone Enterprise Manufacturing Alliance (KEMA) is an alliance of local manufacturers who combine their expertise to form a unique, multi-disciplined engineering and manufacturing organization. KEMA acts as a virtual contract manufacturer in support of the Department of Defense and its supply chain. The goal of KEMA is to provide system and sub-system support by combining the core competencies of its members into an integrated solution.
David Bertieri, Director of KEMA, believes that the ARMTech Showcase of Industry and Technology provides a unique opportunity to for relationship building. “ARMTech was very instrumental in helping to formulate our foundation and our focus,” said Mr. Bertieri. He also pointed out that one of the attractive aspects of the ARMTech Showcase is the quality if its clientele, citing the fact that KEMA recently held conversations with representatives from Lockheed Martin-Owego and the Boeing Company that could result in promising organizational growth.

Optical System Technology, Inc. (OSTI)

Optical System Technology, Inc. (OSTI), located in Freeport, PA, designs, manufacturers, and distributes night vision products including monuculars, catadioptric objective relay lens, illumination lasers, small arms night scopes as well as a variety of video and still photography night devices. Products manufactured by OSTI are used by military and law enforcement agencies.
“The ARMTech Showcase gives us a chance to interact with other electro-optics companies and to look for potential vendors,” said OSTI spokesperson Vickie DeThomas. “We already have a close working relationship with the Electro-Optics Center, DRS Technologies (located in the Northpointe Technology Center) and several of the machine shops.”
