2010 ARMTech Showcase of Industry & Technology

The members of the ARMTech Showcase committee are profoundly saddened by the loss of Congressman Murtha. Our condolences go out to the Congressman’s family, friends and staff. In honor of Congressman Murtha’s strong support of the ARMTech initiative, the ARMTech Showcase will go forward.
The Armstrong County Board of Commissioners and the Armstrong County Industrial Development Council (IDC) have announced the dates for the 12th annual ARMTech Showcase of Industry & Technology. On August 18th, 19th and 20th, 2010, leaders in the fields of electro-optics, advanced manufacturing, medical research, aerospace and defense contracting will work toward developing new business relationships. The ARMTech Showcase of Industry & Technology was created to support the Armstrong County Regional Manufacturing Initiative. This initiative was formed in 1999 in order to sustain the increasing number of technology related industries within Armstrong County.

Student Forum
The Armstrong County Forum for Workforce Excellence will host a Student Forum once again this year at the 2010 ARMTech Showcase of Industry & Technology. The Student Forum allows high school students to shadow a representative of select exhibitors with the goal of educating students about careers in industry and technology and the educational pathway to those careers.
