As a part of the Greater Pittsburgh region that is renowned for its world-class healthcare resources, Children’s Hospital, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Magee Women’s Hospital, Allegheny General Hospital and Western Pennsylvania Hospital are recognized as leaders in a wide range of medical care and research specialties.
Enhanced 911 services are available throughout the county, rapidly connecting residents with assistance in times of emergency. All of the Armstrong County 911 dispatchers receive training related to the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) and the Pennsylvania State Police.
