West Hills Industrial Park Receives New Occupant

Adagio Health recently moved into a new 4,000 sq. ft. facility located in the West Hills Industrial Park, Kittanning, PA. Providing health care, nutrition services, education and outreach programs, Adagio Health employs nine professional and medical personnel at their West Hills location. Founded in 1971, Adagio Health, formerly Family Health Council, Inc., operates medical offices and partners with more than 20 other health care services to provide health care at more than 70 sites in 23 counties of western Pennsylvania.

New Company Moving to Armstrong County

The Armstrong County Board of Commissioners and the Armstrong County Industrial Development Council recently announced that a sales agreement has been signed for the purchase of one parcel at Northpointe, located along the Allegheny Valley Expressway (Route 28). Dynamic Manufacturing, LLC, a full-service Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider, purchased a 3.8-acre parcel. Construction of a 14,400 square foot facility will begin immediately and should be complete within the next four to six months.

Currently located in U-Park, Dynamic employs 30 associates. With their new facility at Northpointe, employment is anticipated to increase steadily at an annual rate of 15%-25%. Since its inception in 1993, Dynamic has grown its Pittsburgh based operation to include electronic manufacturing service, contract design services, aftermarket service and repair, electromechanical assembly and cable assembly.

2008 ARMTech Showcase of Industry & Technology

The 10th annual ARMTech Showcase of Industry and Technology will be held on August 13th – 15th, 2008. Each year, the Armstrong County Board of Commissioners and the Armstrong County Industrial Development Council (IDC) host the event at the Belmont Complex, located in Kittanning, PA. The three-day Showcase will feature nearly 100 exhibits from across the country, which will allow regional businesses and organizations to build relationships with respected industry professionals. Exhibitors from the fields of electro-optics, advanced manufacturing, medical research, aerospace and defense contracting will be joined by U.S. Rep. John Murtha at the Showcase. The ARMTech Showcase is part of the Armstrong County Regional Manufacturing Initiative. The Initiative’s goals include promoting industry recruitment, workforce development and establishing local supplier relationships with Armstrong County and the surrounding region. IUP Kittanning Announcement

IUP Kittanning AnnouncementOctober 31, 2007 – State Senator Don White recently presented a grant in the amount of $1.5 million to the Armstrong County Board of Commissioners for the development of the former Indiana University of Pennsylvania Kittanning Campus property, located along North McKean Street. In addition, a portion of the grant will also be applied to other revitalization projects in Kittanning Borough. IUP President Dr. Tony Atwater joined other dignitaries at the ceremony and announced that the University will donate the Kittanning Campus property to Kittanning Borough Council.
